Happy Diwali y’all

From Wikipedia:

Diwali or Dīpāvali (Sanskrit: a row of lamps[1]) is a significant festival in Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism, and an official holiday in India.[2] Adherents of these religions celebrate Diwali as the Festival of Lights. They light diyas—cotton string wicks inserted in small clay pots filled with oil—to signify victory of good over the evil within an individual.

And now… a song celebrating Diwali.

  1. Hello Julian,

That is positively hilarious. I love that video. Is Diwali today? Do you have any additional info on this holiday?

    Namaste.

  2. Hahah! This is great. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Hey John… yeah, pretty funny stuff, huh. I love The Office and of the little television I do watch it is one of the few shows I try to make time to watch. I don’t know much else about Diwali than what I found on wikipedia, however accurate that might be.

Hey Green Monk… thanks for stopping by. Hey, so what happened to your blog? Why’d you pull it down. You gonna start up another one?

  4. Goof.

It’s sort of a beautiful holiday, though. I have holiday envy- I like other culture’s holidays better than mine.

My very favorite is coming up: Los Dios de los Muertos.
